I’m excited to announce that my photography has been featured in MOJEH Magazine’s September 2024 issue, capturing the serene and artistic home of RARARES Gallery founder Marina Baisel. Titled “New Terrain,” the article explores Marina’s minimalist haven in Dubai’s Meadows community, blending natural materials, abstract art, and feminine-inspired sculptures for a truly harmonious space.
From the neutral-toned living room with its vibrant Dakota Schuetz painting symbolizing personal growth, to the dining area adorned with a custom flax tapestry evoking her Russian roots, every corner reflects thoughtful design. The kitchen boasts honeycomb-like ceilings and marble counters, while the bedroom—Marina’s favorite retreat—features Ai Tai pendant lights made from agave fiber, alongside works by Anna Pepe and Evelyne Brader-Frank celebrating the beauty of form.
Marina, who moved to Dubai in 2022, shares insights into her aesthetic: prioritizing natural elements like stone, wood, and clay to create a calming escape from the city’s bustle. As an artist and interior designer, she opened RARARES in DIFC earlier this year, and her home embodies that same eclectic yet refined style.
Photographing this project was a delight, highlighting how art and design intertwine to form a “harmonious orchestra.” Check out the full feature in MOJEH’s latest issue for more on this inspiring space through my lens!
